From his days as a war photographer/foreign correspondent to his experience working in hospice care, Rick Steele has learned first-hand how trauma affects people in many different ways.
Prior to becoming a licensed psychotherapist in 2015, Rick obtained his Master’s degree in journalism, and spent his time traveling the world as a photojournalist. His travels took him to some of the most devastated, war-torn places on Earth, and he experienced first-hand how trauma affects people from all walks of life. A strong desire to help those affected led him to begin his counseling career.
After five years as a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist with extensive specialized training, Rick chose to refine his focus to trauma psychotherapy as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Thus, in 2020, Aion Trauma Center was born.
Unlike general therapy practices, Aion Trauma Center prioritizes and primarily works with those who have trauma histories and are experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) with its related symptoms. As an EMDR-certified psychotherapist, Rick is able to provide the guidance and support that patients need to find relief and heal from their trauma.
Aion Trauma Center provides a safe, trusting space for you to navigate your trauma with compassionate and experienced trauma psychotherapist Rick Steele.
Through the establishment of Aion Trauma Center, Rick is able to provide a safe, welcoming, and healing environment for those who have witnessed a traumatic event or have experienced prolonged exposure to trauma in their lives. He utilizes both his professional and personal experiences to work with clients of all ages and backgrounds to develop therapeutic strategies for trauma recovery and growth.
